‘Live Landscapes’ Mícheál Keating
Organiser/s: Spacecraft
Location: Spacecraft, Limerick
Date: 18-07-2025 → 20-07-2025
‘Live Landscapes’ is the debut solo exhibition by Limerick-based musician and media artist Mícheál Keating. The show charts five years of engagement with rural Limerick landscape through processes of musical improvisation, field recording, photography, video and writing. Keating’s work casts Limerick in a contemplative and uncanny light—foregrounding hauntology, immanence, and becoming in the landscape, while tracing entanglements between human, non-human, and land. This exhibition also marks the release of Keating’s new publication + album of the same name. ‘Live Landscapes’ is an 108-page book of 120mm landscape photography produced in collaboration with designer Hugh Heffernan. It is accompanied by an 18-track CD of improvised performances recorded by Keating in outdoor locations across County Limerick, his voice and electroacoustic sounds coalescing with the rural soundscapes. This body of work channels a desire to build collective attention towards the complexity of the land, and to cultivate agency and care in our relationship with place. 'Live Landscapes' is opening in Spacecraft, Limerick, July 18 from 7-9pm, and running 11am-5pm on the 19-20th.

Not Breaking, This Wave Drowns Hate
Organiser/s: Galway Arts Festival
Location: Galway
Date: 16-07-2025 → 27-07-2025
Not Breaking. This Wave Drowns Hate is an interactive artwork by artist Kat Austen that responds to the crisis of marine microplastic pollution and diminishing ocean health by creating inspirations for a more symbiotic relationship between humans and the marine environment. Sculptural ’lighthouses’ orient the visitor through the installation space suffused with a dynamic soundscape. At its heart is an Al, which has been trained on data gathered with coastal communities from in and around Galway, responding to attendees to produce evolving, generative visuals projected on sail cloth. The installation envisions a future where humans and the ocean nurture each other.
