Whatâs up everybody!
Weâre happy to have you back with us. We have some exciting soft announcements and dates to transmit to you. So letâs get to that first, shall we?
On the 15th of November, we will be presenting to you Concept Null 2025. We will have a meetup during the day in our usual style (along with a special guest) and an evening of performances, all in the amazing space that is Dance Limerick! We will send out a full program along with ticket links in the next week, so keep an eye out for that.
We also have a super exciting collaboration with Synthesize_Her coming up: a week-long, sound system-building workshop for FLINTA participants during Ireland Design Week (Nov 17th - 21st) 2025 so we will be sending you more details and tickets on that next week too!

TouchDesigner Dublin Meetup

A monthly meetup for anyone curious about TouchDesigner, from complete beginners to experienced creators. Whether you want to learn the basics, share your projects, or connect with others using the software, the meetup provides a welcoming space to do so. Each session will run for about two hours in a relaxed, hands-on setting. With multiple rooms available at TĂłg Hackerspace, we can run beginner and advanced activities side by side if needed, so everyone gets the most from the evening. Expect an informal, community-driven environment where the format adapts to participants. You can bring a laptop to follow along, show your work, or simply join the conversation. The event is an opportunity to meet other creative technologists and artists, and to further develop the growing TouchDesigner community in Ireland. More info in the link below!

Soundthread - A visual interface for CDP
The Composers Desktop Project is a set of scripts used to process audio offline, which allows for some insane sound design possibilities and has been used by Trevor Wishart, Aphex Twin (among a big group others) for several decades. Sound thread is a visual interface that uses a convenient node system to use the CDP and itâs so much fun (and free!)

Dry Facts And the Judgement of Imagination

Dry Facts And the Judgement of Imagination invites works that explore the tensions between systemic observation and artistic portrayal. These works will form an online exhibition in the form of a national database for built heritage. We are seeking proposals from artists and writers that are playful in considering this format.
The selected artist will expand on an existing artwork or idea. The selected writer will make a text that departs from that artwork during a period of engagement with the artist and curator CĂłilĂn OâConnell across November 2025. The exhibition will go online in December 2025.
EMAF 2026: Call for Entries

Media artists from around the world can now enter their work to be considered for the 2026 European Media Art Festival. We welcome current works in the categories Film (experimental short and feature films), Installation (installative, interactive, spatial or sculptural media art works), and Expanded (performances, live events, or workshops). Entering works is free of charge. The 39th European Media Art Festival will take place from 22 to 26 April 2026. The exhibition at Kunsthalle OsnabrĂźck will continue beyond the festival, closing on 25 May 2026. More info in the link below!

MECHANICAL FORESTS

The Donaueschingen Music Days, that Festival Musica Strasbourg and the Kunstverein Global Forest invite sound artists together, for a 3â4 month residence in St. Georgen in the Black Forest (Germany) to apply for the year 2026. The residence includes a research phase with the aim of developing a sound installation, which will be presented at the Donaueschinger Musiktage in October 2026 and at a later date at the Festival Musica in Strasbourg. In addition, the artist will become selected students of the HEAR (Haute Ăcole des Arts du Rhin Strasbourg) accompany and supervise in workshops. More info in the link below!

Fingal Arts Act Grant Scheme 2026

Arts Council Digital Artist in Residence University Pilot Programme

The Arts Council has partnered with Universities in Cork, Galway and Limerick to run a pilot Digital Artist in Residence Programme. The pilot has been established as part of the Arts Councilâs Digital Arts Policy. It focuses on providing a stimulating environment for the resident Digital Artists and affording them a degree of financial support to concentrate on their own digital arts practice. New Obsolescence â ReFunct Media Workshop with Benjamin Gaulon

A three-day intensive exploring media archaeology and reuse, led by artist and researcher Benjamin Gaulon. Participants engage in hands-on experimentation and critical discussion around sustainability and digital obsolescence.

Connected Horizons Programme: Nov 4th

The Connected Horizons Programme supports artists based in Fermanagh, Laois, Limerick, Roscommon, Sligo and Wicklow through an online âShow & Tellâ session introducing regional arts organisations.
